If you’re looking for a classy hotel in Jerusalem, we’re going to point you in the direction of the superb Inbal Hotel!
We recently stayed a night at the Inbal Hotel and were won over by a few factors that might just convince you too…the location, with its proximity to the Old City of Jerusalem and the stunningly charming neighborhood of Yemin Moshe (the ‘hood with the windmill – which you might be lucky enough to see from your room!), the great, friendly service, the renovated rooms, and the superb starters at the in-house Sofia restaurant!
The Port Inn in Haifa is another great option to consider if you’re in Haifa, or looking for a budget-friendly base for a few days from which to explore the north of Israel.
We spent two nights there as part of our 32-day family adventure across Israel, and enjoyed our stay a lot. Although we didn’t stay in the actual dorms or private rooms, we were booked in to the family-sized flats across the road from the Port Inn. Which were quite superb, it has to be said.
One of the truly best places to stay in the north of Israel, the Ein Gev Holiday Resort is an amazing option for families looking to base themselves in the north of Israel for a few days.
We only had the pleasure of one night’s stay (as part of our crazy 32-day family adventure across the whole of Israel), but have to say, the resort looks like it has everything a family could possibly need. From beautiful sandy beaches, to excellent dining options, to very cute accommodation options, the Ein Gev Holiday Resort has to be on your list of places to check out in the north of Israel.
First of all, I have to say that camping at the Sea of Galilee in recent years has become a bit of a nightmare, especially during the holiday season (we did warn you). As a result, we’ve started to steer clear of camping out under the stars around this wonderful lake…
However, as part of our amazing 32-day family adventure across Israel, we decided to give the Sea of Galilee another chance – to be more specific, Susita Beach, next to Ein Gev on the Eastern shore of the lake.
And we were happy little campers!
We recently discovered the Mongolian tents at Genghis Khan (in the southern Golan Heights) as part of our crazy 32-day family adventure through Israel, and what can we say – we were completely charmed!
When we first booked a couple of nights through Sara, the amazingly helpful owner, I have to admit to being a bit dubious about staying in tents in the middle of the summer in Israel. But we couldn’t have been more wrong – the tents were amazingly spacious, comfortable, and fully air-conditioned (we even had to turn off the AC at night, it got too cold!).
As part of our crazy 32-day adventure across Israel, our very first stop was at Among The Cherry Trees (Be’in HaEtzy HaDuvdavan) in Metulla.
Run by Motti and his wife, this is a great little B&B (known as zimmerim in Israel) at the very northern point of Israel, and makes for a perfect base for exploring the area!
We had the pleasure of staying in the Dan Eilat recently, and can safely say that this Red Sea hotel will be our preferred hotel option on our next visits to Eilat!
From the helpful staff, to the delicious breakfasts (available until 12:00 – perfect for a holiday lie-in!), to the proximity to the beach, the Dan Eilat is one mighty fine hotel (and definitely one of Israel’s best luxury hotels).
